Garden Suburb FC are seeking expressions of interest for the role of Technical Director for Junior Girls Development.

This is an exciting opportunity for interested coaches to be involved in the construction of an elite girls junior development program.

Garden Suburb FC have a rapidly growing female player base and for season 2018 the club is seeking to implement a Junior Girls Development Program based on the Skills Training and Game Phases of Development. the Technical Director will oversee the development and growth of this program and coordinate program coaches.

For any of our registered players who are considering becoming a referee please read below.

In support of this our club will reimburse the $45 fee for any registered player who successfully completes the course.

Exciting opportunities exist next season to secure sponsorship space on our Zone League squads jerseys across all three grades.

The squad had a great season this year with both First and Reserve grades reaching the semis and Reserve grade narrowly losing the Grand Final. With further building we believe the squad has the ability and depth to go further next season.

Packages can also be put together to include field signage.

Garden Suburb Football Club are hosting a PINK day in support of the McGrath Foundation and Breast Cancer Awareness. With both the men’s and women’s teams playing, this is shaping up to be a huge day at the club. This cause is very close to our hearts and we hope to raise a great deal of much needed funds.

There will be champagne & strawberries available for $5 in addition to the usual range of amazing food and beverages available from the canteen. There will also be raffles throughout the day and the 100 Club.

To undertake this training program you must be at least 13 years of age and have successfully passed the online Laws of the Game within the past two years.

 

This training program is aimed at match officials officiating in junior and youth matches.

 

The program consists of theory modules, practical sessions and practical mentoring in matches as a referee and assistant referee.

 

Upon completion of all components referees will be officially qualified as a Level 4 Referee. The qualification is valid for a period of up to 4 years.

The club is in the process of purchasing two new Puma away kits to be set aside for big games such as FFA Cup, Womens State Cup, Semi Finals, Finals and Grand Finals.

To help pay for these two kits the club is seeking sponsors for the various spots available.

– Front Shirt
– Sleeves (x2)
– Back of shirt

Each of the two kits will have the same sponsors an we expect these kits to be in use for at least 5 seasons.

We need to have the shirt designs finalised next week, so if you are interested in being on these shirts, please get in touch with the club by email at gardensuburbfc@macquariefootball.net.au Prices for sponsorship are negotiable, but will be given to the highest offer.

Due to the recent heavy rain, with Margaret West and Lance Yorke Fields are closed for training.

Saturday April 1 is set to be a huge day at the club with Round 1 of Zone Leagues Season on Lance Yorke, this game is also the Bypass Cup, and Junior trials taking place on Margaret West Playing field.

Please allow extra time to find a park as the grounds will be busier than usual.
