Just Kick It – Women’s Football Program Pilot Program

Just Kick It – Women’s Football Program Pilot Program

As a family orientated club, Garden Suburb Football Club has an enthusiastic approach to expanding footballing options for females.

We invite you to participate in our “Just Kick It – Women’s Football Program” this summer.

With new & “retired” players in mind (but not limited to), you will have the opportunity to discover for the first time or rediscover the basics of football.

Our vision is to deliver a program that offers women a relaxed, fun, connected environment, where you can be yourself and challenge yourself free of judgement, all whilst doing some outdoor fitness with mates.

In addition to this pilot program, we are promoting our social 6 a side women’s competition, which will also run on the same night, emphasising a judgement free zone.

To be notified of the program details as they become available, register your interest by completing the attached form and emailing it to gsfcsummerfootball@gmail.com

2019 Junior Playing Shirts – Sponsorship Opportunities Available

Next season we are updating the junior kits with a fresh new strip.

The intent is that each junior will keep their shirts at the end of the season.

We are looking for front of shirt sponsors for junior teams to help offset the cost of the kit. We can also accommodate back of shirt and sleeve if teams or sponsors require this.

Sponsorship for front of shirt is as follows;

  • U6 and U7 – $500 for the entire age group (Boys or Girls)
  • U8 through U18 – $500 for an individual team

Options exist for rear of shirt sponsors if the front of shirt is taken.

For those that purchased shorts or socks this year, the colour is not changing so these will still be fine in coming seasons.

Spread the word about the new kit and if you are interested in sponsoring a team contact the club by email (gardensuburbfc@macquariefootball.net.au) or message us on Facebook.

Presentation Dates

Some end of season dates for everyone.

Junior Presentation – 8th September at the club grounds

Senior Presentation – 15th September at Cardiff RSL.

More details on both events will be posted shortly.

Boot Out Breast Cancer Fundraiser – Fri 3rd August till Sun 5th August 2018

To celebrate our last big home game weekend of the season, Garden Suburb Football Club – in conjunction with Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation will be holding a “Boot Out Breast Cancer” fundraiser from Friday, 3 August, 2018 and Sunday, 5 August, 2018.

The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation is a Newcastle (Hunter) based and founded non-profit organisation, which raises much needed funds to provide information and support for women and men diagnosed with, or being treated for breast cancer in the Hunter, and for their families.

They help and support the families of the hunter region by offering house cleaning, lawn mowing, transport to and from treatment/medical appointments and providing education assistance for children of families affected by breast cancer.

The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation also works closely with and supports the work of organisations that promote support groups, education of breast care nurses and assistance to people needing special care.

This cause is something dear to our hearts. Not only do we all know someone impacted by this disease in our lives outside the game – but one of our own has been fighting the battle since 2016. She is a true inspiration to all of us, not only playing for our All Age Women G Grade team, but also playing up to 3 games some weeks to support her club.

Our “Boot Out Breast Cancer” weekend will see a total of 26 games held, including:
– Friday Night All Age Mens play on Friday, 3 August, 2018
– MiniRoos (ages 6-11), U12’s, U15’s, All Age Mens and Over 35’s play on Saturday, 4 August, 2018
– All Age Women & Zone League 1 play on Sunday, 5 August, 2018

On the day, we will be serving champagne & strawberries, delicious pink-themed baked goods as well as holding raffles, a 100 Club and Fill the Boot for Breast Cancer.

We are looking for businesses to donate prizes towards the raffle, and also to join us on the day to help raise some much needed funds and we would love your support!

If you can donate towards the Boot Out Breast Cancer Weekend, please contact Lauren on 0448 216 893 or email us at gardensuburbfc@macquariefootball.net.au.
