Introducing the Glorious Return of Garden Suburb FC Summer Sixes!

We are thrilled to announce the triumphant return of our Summer Sixes Competitions. After a two-year hiatus we’re back and better than ever!

Summer Soccer Extravaganza: We’re bringing the summer heat back to the field! Summer Sixes is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game under the sun, fostering a sense of community, competition, and camaraderie.

Upgraded Facilities: The newly installed lighting will illuminate the field like never before, allowing for thrilling night games. Plus, we’ve also installed a drainage system on the top field end given the bottom field a clean out too!

All Skill Levels Welcome: Whether you’re a seasoned soccer pro or just looking for some fun and fitness, Summer Sixes caters to all skill levels.

Save the Date: We’ll be kicking off the Summer Sixes action on 10 October. So, clear your schedule, gather your team, and prepare for an unforgettable summer of soccer.

Register your team: Have your team delegate complete the Team Nomination Form so we know you’re coming along. Once you have submitted your form, please allow 48 hours for us to get you in the system and once complete, we will email you to let you know you’re good to go and give you a link you can pass onto your team to register.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • When does the season start/end?
      The season starts on the week of Tuesday 10 October and will finish the week of Wednesday 14 December with each team playing a minimum of ten games (pending wet weather).

    • How many players on each team?
      GSFC Summer Sixes are 6v6, however teams require a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 players to register a team.

    • How many teams in each comp?
      We aim to fill 6 teams in each of the competitions.

    • Can I still register if I don’t have a team?
      We don’t offer any positions to individuals without a team so round up some mates and put one together!

    • What do we wear?
      Your team will need to arrange your own playing strip. If there is a clash of colours, the home team must wear bibs which will be available from the canteen. All players MUST wear shin pads, if a player fails to wear shin pads they will not be permitted to participate in play.
    • How long do the games go for?
      Junior games will be 2 x 15 minute halves and senior games will be 2 x 20 minute halves. Both will have a drinks break between.

    • Is there a minimum ratio required when playing mixed?
      Mixed teams must be meet the 40:40:20 gender balance ratio. Being 40% male, 40% female, 20% of any gender. They must always have a minimum of 2 female active players on the field at all times.

    • How do I register?

      Your Team Delegate will need to submit a team nomination including Player names – this can be found here. Once reviewed, the Summer Sixes Committee will then contact your Team Delegate via email to confirm acceptance of the team. Part of that email will include a link to PlayFootball where players can register and pay online.

    • How much is registration?
      Registration fees are:
      – $120 for all junior REGISTERED players
      – $130 for all junior UNREGISTERED players
      – $140 for all senior REGISTERED players
      – $170 for all senior UNREGISTERED players
    • Can I use an Active Kids Voucher?
      Yes. You will need to obtain it from the Service NSW website prior to commencing your registration process.

    • Are there any additional costs?
      No! The only cost is the individual registration fee. There is no team fee, or any additional fees. Everything is covered in the individual registration fee including referees, field usage, and NNSW insurance.

    • How do I make payment?
      Payment can be made online via PlayFootball at time of registration. If you are using your Active Kids Voucher, please have this ready upon registration.

    • What is the difference between REGISTERED and UNREGISTERED?
      A REGISTERED player is considered to be any player that has registered to play winter football in the 2023 registration period in NNSWF only. An UNREGISTERED player is considered to be any player that has not registered to play football in the 2023 registration period in NNSWF.
