In addition to our usual on-season competitions, Garden Suburb FC will also be hosting MiniRoos Kick-Off in Term 1, 2024 and MiniRoos Come & Try Sessions in January & February 2024.

MiniRoos – 2024 Season

MiniRoos uses short, game-based sessions to introduce football, to 4 to 11 year olds, in an inclusive way. It focuses on learning new skills, being active, making life-long friends.

Games are usually held on Saturday mornings at our home on Myall Road, Garden Suburb – as well as neighbouring Macquarie Football clubs. Training is once a week, with specific nights to be announced at a later date.

Any players new to Garden Suburb FC in Under 5, Under 6 & Under 7 for 2024 receive free shorts & socks with registration.

If your child was born from 2019 onwards, they are now eligible to play club football. It is important to remember when registering, select the age they will be turning this year. – e.g. Children Turning 5 in 2024, will register for Under 5’s.

MiniRoos Kick-Off (8 Week Program)

MiniRoos Kick-Off uses short, game-based sessions to introduce the sport of football to newcomers aged between 4 to 8, in a fun and inclusive way and provides grassroots football participants with more playing options and opportunities to try the world game.

Session Time: Wednesday from 4:30pm-5:15pm

🗓️ Cost: $100 per player

What is MiniRoos Kick-Off?

➡️ A fun, introductory program taught in a supportive environment for kids aged four-nine

➡️ Weekly 45 -minute sessions that build skills through progressive drills and games, and focus on fundamental movement skills;

➡️ Program delivery in an engaging and inclusive club environment;

➡️ All new participants receive a MiniRoos Participant Pack.

MiniRoos Come & Try Sessions (One Off Sessions)

A Come and Try Session are a great way to give kids a taste of what club football is like! It’s great opportunity for current club members to bring a friend along or to just simply offer the opportunity for kids who are interested in starting their football journey.

Come & Try #1: Wednesday 31 January – 4:45PM
Come & Try #2: Saturday 17 February – 10:00AM
