- Unregistered Junior – $145
- Registered Senior – $150
- Unregistered Senior – $180
-
-
Our registration fee is inclusive so there is no team fee, or any week to week costs to factor in. Everything is covered in the individual registration fee including referees, field hire and operation costs, and player’s insurance. The only additional cost MAY be a uniform if you choose to go down that path. Customised kits are available from Deploy Football via this link, starting at $34.95 a shirt. Shirts take 15 Business Days to manufacture + delivery time so we recommend getting onto it ASAP to ensure your shirts are here for round 1.
We’ve also added a Multiple Competition Registration to this years options. Players wishing to play in multiple competitions (e.g. Over 30’s + Womens + Mixed) have the option to pay a Multiple competition Registration fee of $80 per additional competition they wish to register for. There is to be no more than 50% of the team as Multiple Registrations.
Returning players may notice a slight increase to your registration from 2023 to 2024. This is due to a slight increase in field usage charges, as well as an increase in referee costs. We believe they should be paid more than they are, and in 2024 we have increased this amount.
Below is everything else you need to know, if we’ve missed anything get in touch by emailing Lauren or Tamika at summersixes@gardensuburbfc.com.
Thank you so much for the support and everyone who got involved to help make 2023 the success it was! We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
The Registration Process
-
- Get your crew together and work out what competition you are registering for you.
- Work out who is the most responsible one of the bunch they will likely be your Team Delegate!
- Get your Team Delegate submit your Team Nomination via this link here. Help them out by providing them with your names as per your FFA Registration as it is a question they will be asked.
- Hang Tight – give our Summer Sixes Crew 24-48 hours to get your team registered in the Play Football system. This will mean you can select your team name at time of registration making everyone’s lives easier. Once done, we will be in touch to confirm your team has been accepted.
- Get Registering! Once you’ve been given the green light, players can start registering via PlayFootball.

- The maximum number of teams per competition will be determined based on received team nominations.
- Each team must have a minimum of 8 registered players, and a maximum of 10 players is allowed on a team sheet and permitted to play in a match.
- No more than 50% of the team can be a multi-registered player.
- We do not have the capacity to match single players with a team, however we created a Facebook group last season called the Summer Sixes Team Builder to bridge the gap between those looking for a team and the teams who are looking for some extra players.
Competitions:
-
- We will be following our successful 2023 season with another Junior girls competition in 2024. This is dependent on numbers.
- The Summer Football competition is scheduled to commence on Tuesday October 8th with the final games anticipated to be played on Thursday December 12th. We have added a 2 week buffer to allow space for any washouts or abandoned fixtures to be accommodated.
- All competitions will consist of 10 Rounds
- The proposed times mentioned above are subject to change based on registration numbers.
- The final game each night will be finished by 8:30pm.
- Teams participating in the Mixed competition, will require a minimum of 2 female players on the field at all times.
What do I need to know?
-
- Social, Not Competitive – GSFC Summer Football is a social competition. Scores are not recorded.
- Field Set Up & Pack Down – Whilst our Summer Sixes team will ensure the fields are set up for the games, all teams that play the final game on the field are expected to packdown their field by moving the goals to their designated area. You will be informed by the match schedule if you are on setup or packdown duties of your field each week.
- Team Uniforms – Your team will need to arrange your own playing strip. Each team must ensure all players are wearing the same colour shirt, or same kit. In 2024, custom team kits are available to order through Deploy Football. In the rare case of matching colours for opposing teams, the away team is required to wear bibs which can be collected from the canteen area.
-
- Training – Being a social competition, there is no formal training organised – individual teams may choose to do so themselves.
-
- Single Players – We do not have the capacity to match single players with a team, however we created a Facebook group last season called the Summer Sixes Team Builder to bridge the gap between those looking for a team and the teams who are looking for some extra players.
-
- Washouts – If it looks like adverse weather will wash out a match, we will attempt to reschedule the match for a future date, which may mean playing 2 games on the one night. We have allowed 2 week post-competition for any catch ups to be played. Unfortunately with summer weather, it can change quickly. Our ultimate goal is to get you on the fields to play, but not if it is going to compromise your safety. There are policies and guidelines we need to follow and these will be available to view and will be communicated to all teams prior to round 1.
-
- Schedule – Kick off times for the entire competition can be found here. It is your teams responsibility to ensure that you are fully aware of your kick-off times and know that these times cannot be changed at the team’s discretion. Only the Garden Suburb Summer Football Team can make changes under extreme circumstances.
-
- Duration – Junior matches consist of 2 x 15 minute halves, Seniors will consist of 2 x x 20 minute halves.
-
- Ring In Players – Ring in players are not permitted. All players must be registered, or they will not be insured in case of accident or injury.
-
- Referees – All of the referee costs are included in your registration fees.
